Jax and Emily... Where do I start?

Jax is thoroughly irritated to say the least that Emily has popped back into his life after it was believed she had died. Their heated past turns even hotter as they struggle to trust each other while the team has to keep her safe to testify for the information she has against an international killer. Dodging a mastermind hit man that has been hired to take out Emily is proving stressful as they uncover more and more about each other and how they've coped without each other in their lives.

I don't like reading reviews where the person tells me what's going to happen. I can get that from the blurb before I buy the book. I want to know if the characters are believable, strong, empathetic. These characters fit the bill. It's a great suspense story with a hot alpha hero and a strong, sweet heroine. Characters from the previous book in this series reappear naturally. The plot moves well and logically.

If you're a fan of hot heroes, great suspense and a little BDSM, do yourself a favor and read this book
Jax & Emily had a glorious week together... then she 'died' one week before his last deployment. Life was never the same for Jax, something inside him shut down... he continued to carry on with life, always wondering , ' what if '....working hard, playing hard, always having the back of his team members. A meeting is called for the team on a case... lives are going to be lost & some will change forever. Secrets are revealed that have the ability to destroy lives.
Recommended reading...waiting for the next story in this series.
Jax is Kennedys next Alpha in this action filled story. Wow, what tension in the first few paragraphs. I loved Jax and all he has done for Emily and I found myself a little upset with her constant reminders to him all she had been through. I admit it took awhile for her to win me over. Jax loves her and will protect her at all cost. I was totally surprised when a certain thing comes to light. The group comes together once again to help Jax and Emily with a happily ever after.
I liked both stories 1& 2 so I purchased #3 immediately. Can't miss on this group of great guys.
I love this series; it has everything you could want, exciting action, suspense, assassins, romance, and BDSM tainted sex. If you can believe it, the BDSM is not over-the-top, but I would call it erotica. Jax and Emily spent a week together that made them both think of forever commitment. Then Emily dies and Jax is trying to learn how to be happy without her. Two years later he is assigned by the Crest Security Agency to protect a witness to extreme crimes by the UN Secretary General. Guess who the witness is?
Kennedy Layne has a masterful touch when it comes to action and suspense. I was completely engrossed in the CSA world and the characters. Each scene seemed to ratchet up the tension until the nail biting finish.
You won't get any spoilers from me except to say that Jax, who we met in the first book, has to keep Emily from being murdered. There's danger and surprises around every corner. Mix in the hot, sexy scenes and this book will leave you breathless. I'll ask again… what's up with Crest and Jessie?
I waited until morning to write the review on this story. The story made me want to cry, yell, and scream at times, and at the same time I melted into big puddles of romantic. Kennedy Layne lays it all out there for you. Like, love or hate it as you will, but I'm a fan.

Jackson lost the love of his life 2 years ago. What hides behind his boss' door, and turns his life upside down will make you wonder what you know about your own life.

Emily has secrets. A TON OF THEM. But only one thing stands in her way of getting back what she most wants in her life.

The rest of the CSA crew is here to help both of these characters, and KL makes sure you'll want more of them
I really enjoyed this story about two lovers, separated by duty and circumstance, that are reunited to stop a threat to our national security. While Jax helped Emily disappear to save her life two years ago, she has to resurface to give evidence of the sale of weapons of mass destruction and murder to the UN Security Council. She comes to Jax and CSA for protection against an assassin that has been hired to silence her. The passion between Jax and Emily resurges with a vengeance and they try to build a future while still making sure that the international criminals are brought to justice. The passion between the two characters is palpable,but life and duty keep getting in their way. I really liked this story and I can't wait to hear more from Kennedy Layne and the CSA team!
