This book wasn't that great. It is a best friends to lovers romance. Jace and Isabella have been best friends for years. Originally, Isabella was in a relationship with a good friend of Jace's. By the time that relationship crashed and burned, Jace was firmly in the "best friend" column, although he'd been attracted to Isabella from the beginning. He wasn't an extrovert; more of the shy, steady, dependable type. So he kept quiet about his true feelings because he knew she didn't feel the same way, and he didn't want to lose their friendship. Frankly, I reached the point where I wondered why he even wanted her. She was pretty clueless throughout this book and was somewhat of a twit. She really was quite selfish for most of the book. She would go on and on about how she needed to find her soul mate prior to her sister's wedding so she'd have a plus one for the event and eliminate the (small town) remarks about how she was the only girl left in her immediate family without a significant other. She was somewhat forced into online dating by well-meaning townspeople but kept running to Jace after disastrous dates which resulted from it. Speed dating was the next thing she tried, and she'd run to him after that failure, too. She started noticing that she was picturing Jace in more than friendly terms, but didn't want to acknowledge those inclinations. Jace tried hard to continue to just be there for her, but it was hurtful for him. When it finally came out how he'd felt about her for so long, her behavior was very immature and unfair. Her reaction was WAY over the top. I was definitely disgusted with her. She never apologized for not acting upon her own burgeoning feelings for him, but wanted Jace to be punished for "lying" to her all of those years. She was beyond ridiculous. Truthfully, I thought he was too good for her, and could do MUCH better. In good faith, I don't feel that I can recommend this one.Tags : Amazon.com: Speed Dating (Preston's Mill Book 2) eBook: Noelle Adams, Samantha Chase: Kindle Store, ebook,Noelle Adams, Samantha Chase,Speed Dating (Preston's Mill Book 2),Fiction Contemporary Women,Fiction Romance Contemporary
Speed Dating Preston Mill Book 2 eBook Noelle Adams Samantha Chase Reviews
Authors Samantha Chase and Noelle Adams come together again to bring us Speed Dating which is the second book of the Preston Mill series. Samantha and Noelle work so well together in bringing us great stories every time that it proves the saying "Two Heads are Better than One".
Isabella owns a hair salon in the small town Preston and as she confides in her clients that she would love to find her dream guy,get married, and start a family they take it upon themselves to set up a profile on an online dating site for her. Isabella is excited about the idea and can't wait to share the news with her best friend Jace.
Jace fell in love with Isabella the first time he met her years before when she was dating his friend. Isabella and Jace became best friends and Jace kept his real feelings for her a secret for all these years out of fear of losing her completely if he told her the truth.
When Isabella tells Jace about the dating site he try's to be a supportive best friend but the thought of her dating other men is tearing him up inside. Isabella goes on a dating spree and after each date she goes right to Jace to tell him how bad the date was. As Isabella uses Jace as a shoulder to cry on her feelings begin to grow for Jace.
As feelings are revealed and lies are discovered will Jace and Isabella be able to have a future together ? Will Isabella finely see that her dream guy has been there all along ?
There are some typos in the book as other reviewers have stated but I think the book as a whole is worth overlooking those small errors. It's a cute and quick book that anyone would enjoy. But don't just take my word for it.....read it for yourself !
Speed Dating (Preston's Mill book 2) by Noelle Adams and Samantha Chase
Another great book by two great authors. I don't know how they do it but they are a great team. I love both of their styles of writing. They are great authors.
In Speed Dating we are introduced to Isabelle Jace. They are best friends. Isabelle want's the "perfect man" and Jase has been in love with Isabelle since he first met her years ago. The more Isabelle goes out on dates the more she compares the dates to Jace. Jace is stuck in the "best friend zone".
I really enjoyed reading this story. This story was a very sweet romance about two friends coming together. I love the best friends falling in love stories. This was a perfectly written romance. I felt that it was a realistically written romance. What better romance than that of two best friends. I found myself reading this book entirely. I could not put it down it was that good. I really loved the dynamics of this story. I thought the book was written perfectly and was wishing that it didn't have to end.
Does Jace ever tell Isabelle how he feels? Does Isabelle ever realize that her "perfect man" is and always has been right in front of her? Read this story to find out.
I give this story 5 stars. I highly recommend this story. Samantha Chase and Noelle Adams are amazing authors and you won't be disappointed.
