In this magical, coming of age YA fantasy series, Mae Waylander is the craft-born. Born a lowly peasant girl, Mae has to come to terms with being the only person left in the world with the ability to use magic.
Can Mae face her destiny, and rid the kingdom of Aegunlund from its oppressors?
Book One - White Hart
Mae never asked to be craft-born. She never wanted that burden.
The realm needs magic again, and the the King of Aegunlund has been waiting for the first craft-born girl to marry his son, Prince Casimir.
In Mae's town of Halts-Walden, the ambitious miller claims his daughter Ellen is craft-born. Mae knows this is a load of hogwash, but she's glad Ellen will have the unfortunate pleasure of becoming queen instead of her. All she has to do is sit back and wait until Casimir and Ellen are married, then she will finally be free of the threat of her fate. But on that day an event so shocking and terrible occurs that Mae finds herself entering the neighbouring cursed forest on a quest she never thought she'd have to follow.
Join Mae as she rides her white stag through the Waerg Woods with a pampered prince at her heels. She's out for revenge and nothing, no one, will get in her way.
Book Two - Red Palace
I am here when you run from me,
You cannot touch me, but I make you cold.
I am there in the faint of heart,
But rarely with the daring, and bold.
One by one the members of court fall, cursed into a deep sleep. Silence spreads through the castle, and only Mae Waylander stands.
To break the curse, Mae must face a formidable opponent. She is the only one with a chance to restore order to the Red Palace, but she is unprepared for the trials that await her. She is brave at heart, but is her bravery enough?
In this thrilling follow up to White Hart, Mae faces her toughest challenge yet. With temptation, fear, and evil in her path, can she complete her task? And what will she lose in doing so?
Book Three - Black Crown
I will survive.
I will become stronger.
I will reach my destiny.
Weakened, but not broken, Mae must face her destiny in this thrilling conclusion to the White Hart trilogy.
Heroic Mae Waylander travels across the desert in search of a way to defeat the tyrannical king and stop him finding immortality.
With dangerous beasts and a war in her way, can Mae achieve her goal and set the kingdom of Aegunlund free?

While I’m glad the author has published this story, I kept wishing it was given more time to “age” like a fine wine. Instead it reads like juvenile fiction by a new-ish writer. The first book is compelling with two likable characters surviving their journey of self-discovery in a perilous, magical setting. The second book is hokey at first with Mae falling into other characters’ lives, but the visions contribute to a larger mystery for the reader to solve. The third book has several unoriginal but exciting plot elements. However, the loss of one character seems contrived and unnecessary, like a tear-jerking ploy. There are several secondary characters that seemed to fit the bill for quality sacrificial victim, and why they aren’t chosen is odd. There are typos sprinkled throughout the last two books, and there are some odd grammar errors, but the writing is fairly good. An element that makes this set of books recommendation-worthy for YA readers is the high level of empathy and forgiving nature of the protagonist.Product details

The White Hart Series Complete Boxed Set edition by Sarah Dalton Children eBooks Reviews
I actually started reading this series on my Nook. Got hooked was going crazy because I could not get the third book. Finally I googles it and found this box set on . Luckily my son had an outdated that was laying around. Mom scooped that up and read the third. Wish I didn't spend $ on the first 2 for Nook, when I got the whole set for less.
I enjoyed reading White Hart both for the subject matter, content and especially that it was a true trlogy. To many ebooks are set up to keep you buying more books so that you can finish the story. I recently read one that was 15 (YES FIFTEEN) SEQUELS even at $0 .99 that works out to fifteen dollars. Needless to say I will probably not by any of the authors future books. Thank you
The storyline kept my attention through all the books. This is a writer who understands that you can't just say Rain, you have to make people feel the Rain. When an author paints a picture with words, I am a captive audience as I was reading this series!!
The characters, setting and editing are of such high quality that visualizing the tale is simple. While many go through life dismissing myth from reality, those who recognise the fine line between the two will have no difficulty letting the curtain of separation fall.
This is a tale of many realities that are built on the myths of every day living - bullying, abuse, cruelty, fear - and the illusions of success.
I read a sample , not knowing what to expect. I enjoyed it and immediately bought the rest of the series. Yes, there's magic and lots of nature (which is magic by itself), lots of soul searching, and it's not overwinded, it doesn't go on and on, and to me that was a relief and enjoyable. I suppose you could argue about the book itself, but what most books come down to in the end is the fight between good and bad. This is a relatively simple book and yet it's brevity is completely in place, and so I liked it!
These books will grip you, and refuse to let go! Power, tragedy, strength, hate, sorrow, but most of all love is what you will find in this riveting series. The characters feel real, the triumphs and heartbreak will move you, and for those who crave action and adventure, fear not... they are here in plenty! Strong characters, magic, warmth, humor and sorrow, all bound together in a well written tale for the younger readers and adults alike. Congratulations to the author for a winner of a seies! I look forward to enjoying more of her work! Highly recommended and much enjoyed!
this is such an awesome series i actually bought the complete set however i wan t review each book as well book two flows so well that the story continues without a break not many authors do this and i think it is a wonderful gift...in book one we see mae a craft born she is afraid to reveal her magic as she does not want to be forced in a marriage to the prince in book two we see she has fallen in love with the prince mae is afraid that the prince would never love her as he is to marry ellen the pretend craft born when the castle is under a spell mae discover she is the only one conscious so she has to destroy the nix she sees the others fears and learns sasha can be with her through this when mae destroys the nix a bad thing happens (sorry cant give away the spoiler) she saves the people in the castle all hell breaks loose at the cas and ellen wedding the king was going to kill mae stag in front of cas with mae watching she lets go of her powers the king realizes that she is the craft born not ellen poor ellen paid the price for this mae has to run away from the king cas finds his mother who has been poisoned lyndon and the king are crazy cas leaves with ellen to look for mae they find each other at sasha village cas lets mae know he loves her they are on the run they have to destroy the king before he destroys them they get married they fight and kill lyndon first they find the black diamond (cant say much more on this cant give story away but will say it is sad did not expect this) the king and sultan wants the black diamond for immorality mae gets a big surprise when she finds out shes with child
