Upbeat story. Pets have personalities just like people. Our pets are such a gift to us. It is a shame that people abuse animals.I think horses are just abused. My niece bought a pony as she was learning to ride. Well that didn't last very long. When I was around this horse I felt very sad for it. So many owners, no real family. Animals feel just as humans do. That horse felt the pain of being used and not being loved for its own sake. I hope that horse gets a home where it won't have a job to do and can stay until it dies loved and being taken care of.

This book helped me so much. My beloved Pom just died very suddenly at the age of nine of congestive heart failure. We didn't even know he was so sick, just that he was having a hard time breathing. It was so comforting to know that he's doing fine now and comes to visit us even if we can't see him any longer.
What a beautiful book Jeanne. I had recently lost a beloved pet and in my grief, was seeking a way to reach her. Through this search, I found Jeanne and the wonderful work that she does. I immediately bought the book and read it cover to cover. The book is remarkably funny and tender and made me laugh and cry many times. I realise pets are really just like kids! (well, I knew that anyways!)

These books really changed the way I think about my pets. Jeanne has an amazing gift, and I highly recommend her!
Love the stories and how they were presented.
While I am not a believer in this particular phenomenon, I found the book entertaining and rather humorous. The views presented as the opinions of the animals was interesting and amusing and made for a fun read. There have been times when our pets have seemed so smart and animated that the appear to be communicating with us, so we'll leave it up to the readers to form their own opinions. Lighthearted read.
